Brandhouse wins Top Industry Design Award
Brandhouse, part of Hangar Seven the content creation agency, has picked up two design awards at the Starpack Industry Awards, winning Gold in the 'Food and Drink Primary Packaging' and Best in Show 'Packaging Superstar', for its work on category leader Robinsons SQUASH'D. The product, a super concentrated squash, is aimed at people on the move and comes in a botte so small it'll fit in to a pocket or handbag. Brandhouse delivered a complete brand identity across the range for the innovative drinks product for its launch in to the market early in 2014.
The Starpack Industry Awards scheme is now in its 56th year and is the UK's premier annual awards scheme recognising innovation in packaging design and technology. The judging panel included representatives from SAB Miller, ASDA, Tesco and Mintel and the Brandhouse design for SQUASH'D beat the likes of Coca-Cola Europe's 'Friends', Tin Horse's OTE Sports Nutrition drink/gel 'Dual Delivery' pack, Seymour Powell's Unilever Lynx deodorant and Design Bridges' Diageo Smirnoff White Bottle.
Bronwen Edwards, Creative Director at Brandhouse, commented: "We're incredibly proud of the success of SQUASH'D. It really was an exciting and challenging piece of work, with the size being something of a first for both the consumer and us. Ensuring the packaging was fun, engaging and appealing was a must in such a small space". Britvic Marketing Services Manager, Tim Lynch, added: "I was delighted that the packaging and benefits of this category-creating product was recognised and applauded by the judges".
